Course Description 

This course will present the elements of an effective family assistance response plan.  Attendees will review ICAO, NTSB requirements and actual response plans.  Each attendee will develop the preliminary outline for a family assistance response plan for their organization

Who Should Attend

This course is for individuals who have responsibility for family assistance response planning and implementation for their organization.

How You Will Benefit

• This course will present the essentials of family assistance planning to include setting up a response team to cover all aspects of accident response including care of survivors and families of victims.

• This course will present family assistance requirements and procedures.  This course will show attendees how to develop and train people to use a family assistance response plan for the attendee’s own organization

• The Board of Certified Safety Professionals accepts this course for Continuation of Certification Credit.

• SCSI will award 3.6 CEUs to each participant who successfully completes this course.

Course Administration

The Family Assistance Preparedness course consists of 4.5 training days (36 hours of classroom instruction).  Students receive lecture outlines, additional reference material and a Certificate of Completion.  Classes begin daily at 0800 and end at 1200 on the final day of class.
