- SCSI - a leader in aviation safety training
-
SCSI, the Southern California Safety Institute,
Inc., is now in its third decade
of providing quality aviation safety training programs. Since
offering its first course in 1987, SCSI has now trained over
10,000 students. We are a recognized, global leader in the design,
development, and delivery of Aviation Safety Training programs
and courses -- anywhere, anytime.
-
-
Aviation safety is a dynamic part of the aviation industry. SCSI has
been teaching Aviation Safety for 20 years. We develop new courses, revise existing courses,
and have developed three certificate programs to meet the training needs
of aviation safety professionals and to respond quickly to changes
in the field of Aviation Safety. Our instructional staff can
and has adjusted existing courses and designed new courses and certificate
programs to
incorporate new guidance and meet new standards as they are issued
by the FAA, Transport Canada, ICAO, and other regulatory and international bodies.
-
-
In addition to courses
in the U.S., SCSI has delivered safety training to both commercial
and government organizations outside the U.S.-- successfully
providing courses on-site in Jordan, Singapore (for the Republic
of Singapore Air Force and Army), Australia (for the Australian
Transport Safety Bureau -- formerly the Bureau of Air Safety
Investigations), in Pretoria, South Africa, Iceland, Belgium, the
Netherlands, Canada, Ecuador, and Prague, The Czech
Republic. SCSI has the proven capability to provide aviation
safety training to meet your needs: anywhere, anytime.
-
Wide variety of courses and four certificate
programs offered
Our core business is built on teaching
how to prevent and how to investigate aircraft accidents. To
accomplish this SCSI offers three certificate programs as well as a variety
of specialty (elective) courses.
-
Highly qualified and experienced faculty
- SCSI
faculty
have from 15 to 35 years of experience in aviation safety, both
in military and commercial settings. Most of them are pilots,
and most have advanced degrees. Several are Certified Safety
Professionals (CSPs), Professional Engineers (PEs), or Certified
Hazard Control Managers (CHCMs).
-
Intensive one and two week courses for
busy professionals
-
Our goal is to meet your aviation safety training needs. Toward that
end, SCSI has prepared and scheduled the courses shown on course schedule. These courses are in an intensive
format designed for busy working professionals who are responsible
for preventing or investigating aircraft accidents in business,
industry, and in commercial airlines. Each course is essentially
a "total immersion" course in which a series of topics
are presented in a condensed time frame. Actual class time is
typically between 40 and 80 hours over a one or two week period.
-
Dramatic savings possible when SCSI brings
courses to your site
- Any SCSI course can be taken to a
location selected by you. By bringing these courses to your site, you
no longer must pay for the cost of travel, lodging, and per diem for
each participant. Your tuition and travel savings can be dramatic when
you contract with SCSI to deliver a course at your site.
-
-
New courses developed and tailored to
meet your unique needs
- If none of the current SCSI courses
meet your needs, we will design a new course to meet your specific
needs. In these cases we carefully assess your needs and then develop and
present one or more courses tailored to meet those specific needs.
- SCSI's goal:
Meet
your aviation safety training needs - anywhere, anytime.
- SCSI offers a range of choices for meeting
your aviation safety training needs. You can meet your training
needs by
- (3) contracting
with SCSI
to bring existing courses to a site of your choice
- (3) asking SCSI to tailor
a new course to meet your specific training needs
-
- In each case, our mission
is clear: we will help you meet your training needs!
