Electronic Systems Investigation (ESI)

ESI

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Electronic Systems Investigation (ESI)
Duration: 4.5 days
CEUs: 3.6
Tuition: $2,875 USD

This course provides participants with an overview of avionics and electrical systems, and an introduction to the new advanced avionics systems being introduced on modern aircraft. The course will also cover traditional and new sources of data that are becoming standard in industry and could be important in the critical examination phase of the accident investigation.

Participants will have an opportunity to learn electronic systems investigative techniques through group discussions, practical exercises and case studies of actual incidents and accidents. These techniques will include a basic understanding of data recovery techniques and micro circuit root cause analysis. Your instructor is an award-winning specialist with over 25 years of aircraft avionics experience and current field experience with the latest and next generation aircraft technologies.

How You Will Benefit

•   This course presents information about new avionics technologies and highlights investigative techniques available to assist in determining the root cause of accidents.
•   Course participants will learn about avionics subsystem examination and digital system examination.
•   Participants will be able to discuss their specific avionics and electronics system investigation problems and issues with an instructor who is experienced and an expert in the field of advanced avionics.
•   This course is accepted by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals for Continuance of Certification Credit.
•   SCSI will award 3.6 CEUs to each participant who successfully completes this course.
